Cathy A. Fleming is a Partner at Omnus Law and Chair of the firm's White Collar and Governmental Investigations Practice. She is a nationally respected trial lawyer with more than 46 years of experience advising corporations, boards, executives, and individuals in high-stakes investigations and complex litigation. A former federal prosecutor, Cathy brings exceptional judgment, courtroom skill, and crisis-management expertise to matters involving white collar criminal defense, regulatory enforcement, securities litigation, tax investigations, and business disputes.

Cathy has tried more than 60 cases to verdict, the vast majority in federal court, and is frequently entrusted with matters carrying significant financial, reputational, and operational risk. She regularly represents companies and their executives in criminal and civil investigations, including proceedings involving the U.S. Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and other regulatory bodies. Her experience includes serving as lead or co-lead counsel in SEC enforcement actions, securities litigation, class actions, and arbitrations involving major brokerage houses, often in matters involving millions of dollars. Many of her most significant cases have received front-page media coverage, while others remain confidential due to their sensitive nature.

Before founding Fleming Ruvoldt PLLC, Cathy held senior leadership roles at major law firms, including serving as Managing Partner of the New York City office of Hodgson Russ LLP and Chair of its Tax Investigation and Defense Group. She also chaired the White Collar Department at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP. In addition to her litigation practice, Cathy has extensive experience as outside general counsel, advising corporate leadership on governance, compliance, internal investigations, and enterprise risk management. She has served as an independent director on a public company board and has held leadership roles on multiple nonprofit boards.

Cathy is widely recognized for her leadership within the legal profession. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. She is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. She is a former President of the National Association of Women Lawyers and a past member of the ABA House of Delegates. She has taught extensively on ethics, fraud, and trial advocacy and has served on judicial and ethics committees, including the New Jersey Supreme Court Ethics Committee.
